The Beginning

Welcome to the new year...and a new blog. This blog will be filled with baking, dogs, kids and opinions about life.


I lead the most normal life I can - though I am sure I have lived the lives of several people already. I think this blog will be a great outlet. Though it will be anonymous, perhaps that will make it easier to be a little more open with things than I normally would.

About me.....I am a mother in her late 30's. I am not happy about my age this year, it feels old. It could be that I am with a younger man, though only by two years, it's still older. I can hear the biological clock ticking for the first time ever. It's loud and annoying! I love to bake - big fancy cakes and gourmet cupcakes. I love the 'wow factor' when I present one of my baked goods. I'll talk about baking ideas and recipes a lot. Dogs - I have two. A super small and a big goof who certainly keep us entertained. Kids - I have three. One is moving into his own apartment, at the end of the month. I was just finishing up high school when I had him. The other two are from a marriage that didn't work out (eight years ago). I also work full-time in a non-profit office. I believe that you need to find the good in life, or it will take you down. It has been quite a journey so far!

There is more to me, as you will see. I look forward to sharing thoughts and hopefully giving you a chuckle now and then.
