A Bun in the Oven

I haven't blogged for a long time - longer than I had thought. Time can certainly get away from you sometimes.

Since I last posted, a lot has happened around our house - the usual baking, kid activities, busy work related days - but the most exciting is that we have a little bun in the oven! We are due in March.

So far, all I've really noticed is the extreme exhaustion, I could sleep 20 hours in a 24 hour span easily. I don't remember being quite so tired with my other pregnancy's but I was younger then too. I have had to turn down a lot of baking opportunities lately, as I can't handle doing anything past a full work day.  My poor children are lucky I can keep my eyes open long enough to feed them dinner - and it's certainly not the best dinner they've had. They have been very helpful with after dinner cleanup though. I really am quite lucky they are so good.

A lot has changed since I last had a baby. We were shopping the other day and learned all about the new strollers they have now. It seems to me that the stroller could be all I need for this baby as it includes every attachment ever needed. The baby can sleep in the bassinet attachment, sit in the regular seat, bring friends along by attaching another seat below, has wheels that might have better traction than my car, and it has a sturdy coffee cup holder. I was rather impressed - kudos to the stroller designers!

It is a little very overwhelming when I think of all the things we need to do and get in the upcoming months.  Plus I always count one less month as from what I learned in the past, you can't always count on the baby waiting until the official due date. We have decided to know the sex of baby when it is time - it will help with all the shopping and prevent everything from being yellow (blech).

One thing I am very happy about - I still love the taste and smell of cake batter. Could you imagine if it turned my stomach?
